In the Name of Allah the Merciful the Compassionate

Flood Appeal for affected people in Pakistan

Respected Brother and sisters

Assalam O Alaikum:

We pray to Almighty Allah for acceptance of your Prayers & Azadari Imam Hussain (a.s) in this holy month of Muharam-ul-Haram.

Brothers in Faith

You all would be surely busy to perform pious deeds of Azadari Imam Hussain (a.s), in such important days; I want to draw your kind attention about an emergency NEED for Muslim Brothers, Sisters and Children in Pakistan. Just want to present some deep facts and figures for your kind information.

“In this killing cold, unbearable chilled nights, still many peoples are under open sky, NO home or shelter which, could save them from this terrible weather conditions”

There isn’t NEED at all to describe the details of Flood in Pakistan; you all are well acquainted from all that damages and losses. Just for some words I would like to present some figures in order to update.

Damage by flood

The 2010 Pakistan floods began in July 2010 following heavy monsoons rains in the Gilgit Bultistan,  Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, Sindh, Punjab and Balochistan regions of Pakistan and affected the Indus River basin. At one point, approximately one-fifth of Pakistan's total land area was underwater. According to Pakistani government data the floods directly affected about 20 million people, mostly by destruction of property, livelihood and infrastructure, with a death toll of close to 2,000. The number of individuals affected by the flooding exceeds the combined total of individuals affected by the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, the 2005 Kashmir earthquake and the 2010 Haiti earthquake. There are hundreds of Mosques, Imam Bargahz, Hospitals, Schools, Colleges and transport system have been completely destroyed by flood.

Approximately one fourth of 20 million are Momineen Karram. They have lost their lives, homes, lands and other valuable properties, animals and crops.

Damages in Punjab

8.2 Million people have been affected in 3132 Villages, 5.23 Million Accor land affected in Punjab. Ready Crops were affected on 3.5 Million Accor, half million houses have been affected and 103 causalities happened in Punjab, the biggest Province of Pakistan. (On the other side when we see the figures of whole country, that information is alarming).

Muntaha-e-Noor Trust (MNT) Role for Flood Relief.

Our trust branch office is situated in Mari Indus, Distt. Mianwali.

In order to inform you that MNT Registered charity is dedicated to serve all brothers and sisters, who are suffering from difficulties in Pakistan. Therefore, in the beginning of the flood this organization started its welfare and relief activities from District Mianwali and these activities are continued up to this date.

We Thank to Allah that we have been providing relief with an effective planning to the whole affected belt of Punjab (Distts. Mianwali, Bhakhar, Liyya, Muzzaffargar, Deraghazi khan, Rahim yarkhan, Sarghoda, Jhang, RajanPur and, Dera Ismail khan in Khyber Pashtun khan, also Distt, Sakardoo in Gilgit Bultistan) in the form of Food, Medicines, Tents, Clothes, House hold items, residential facilities and shifting people from affected areas to safe ones.

MNT Achievements

Thanks to Allah, MNT has achieved a big target in the province of Punjab building up 220 Residential Rooms for flood affected families of the affected areas in District DI Khan, District Mianwali and District Muzaffer Gharh and Liyya. We also built up 3 imamBarghas in Mazzaffarghar, Rajunpur and Mianwali and repaired 3 Mosques. Other NGOs have built 300 houses under the supervision of MNT.

Final Assistance Required for Flood Affected.

After some betterment in food and medical facilities provision, now the most important requirements is the provision of shelter/home for flood affected families. This massive flood has turned Millions of people homeless; the second bigger tragedy is that now these people can not construct their homes, the present high cost factor is the biggest hindrance in this goal.

If our brother individually or collectively in the United Kingdom divide this Burdon, and help to establish the individual houses OR residential colonies for Momineen Karam and specially Sadat, thus we can over come this alarming issue. We also can construct houses for Sadat from Sehm-e-Sadat easily and affordably.

ONE Room for ONE Family

After flood a special task was given to the member of Trust for relief activities. Today we have an enthusiastic managing team and we can complete one residential unit in one week.

Cost for one Room for one Family is only 500 Pound Sterling.

Due to flood disaster affected families are struggling to manage their children’s marriages. MNT has supported these families in getting marriages of their children. £500 cost for each marriage. Please participate in this Sawab for the marriage of one couple in donating £500

Appeal to all Brothers and sisters.

It’s our humble appeal to all the Brothers & Sisters in faith, that please do not let alone to Flood Affected in this critical moment of trail and testing. They all are your brother and sisters. We have permissions and authorized Certificate of all Great Muraje Karram of Qum and Najaf Ashraf, for receiving and usage of Khums.

If you personally want to come and see, we most welcome to all the honorable guests, OR can send any of your representative, we can arrange complete visit and survey of flood affected areas. If you hand over your assistance to our trust, then its our great duty to utilize it in best manners. Specially facilitate the areas which are still deprived from assistance and help from any body.  We are always cooperative with you, your organization and any type of helping body.

Special appeal for Sadat(Aal-e-Rasool).

Thousands of Sadat have been affected in this flood. MNT is supporting these Sadat with Khumas. (build up houses for them, arrangement of marriages for Sadat and education)

Please lend a hand and Almighty Allah would reward you and your next coming generations for this act of kindness. Further Pictorial details are available on our website.

Please spread this message among Momineen Karam in your surroundings.

Thanking you in anticipation.
