Introduction of Al-Mehdi Hospital Pakki Shah Mardan
 

Al-Mehdi Hospital Paki Shah Mardan established on 12 June 1997 at remote area 45Km away from Mianwali and which is situated at left bank of Indus river.

The population of Paki Shah Mardan is about 12 to 15 Thousands. Other villages like Mari Indus, Mari City, Gulan Khel, Farooq Abad, Daira Tokanwala, Daoud Khel, Iskender Abad about 70 to 80 thousands population benefited from the hospital since 1997. The poverty and illiteracy are two main problems of these areas because unemployment ratio is too much high. There is no such industry and agriculture land. Government Sector neglects this area. There is no any health facility by Government Sector. Community suffers from a lot of difficulty for their treatment. Peoples go to DHQ Hospital Mianwali, which is 45Km away from Paki Shah Mardan or THQ Hospital Kala Bagh, which is 12Km away. In light of these social economic problems Al-Mehdi Hospital established June 1997 under supervision of Anjuman Samajhi Behbood (Regd) Paki Shah Mardan.

Initially hospital start from with 4 rooms & only day time service. But slowly and gradually with grace of GOD now it become a complete hospital provide treatment facility on charity basis as following.

1) 24 hours facility of qualified MBBS doctor & dispenser, LHV and laboratory technician.
2) 1,000 to 1,200 benefited per month at General OPD.
3) Al-Huda MCH Center provides antenatal delivery post natal and contraceptive services 250 to 300 women per month on minimal charges.
4) Aien-Ullah Eye Clinic start from 13th January 2006 with qualified eye surgeon provide services on weekly bases until now 650 patients benefited from Aien-Ullah Eye Clinic. In future within month Eye surgery facility will be provide to eye patients.
5) Shah Mardan clinical laboratory with well-equipped instruments provide essential tests of blood, urine and fesses average is 200 to 250 patients benefited per month on minimal charges.
6) Well-equipped Operation Theater where surgeon from DHQ Hospital Mianwali come and provides surgery facility to peoples at their doorstep with minimal charges. From March 2005 to until now 150 patients operated various diseases at Al-Mehdi Hospital.
7) Indoor facility having ward of 4 beds.
8) Al-Mehdi Hospital also arraigning free medical camps to provide better treatment to peoples who cannot afford heavy fees of specialist doctors until now hospital arranges 26 camps including general medical camp, 2 eye camps & one surgical camp. Average 700 to 800 patients are benefited per camp.
9) Hospital also provides ECG facility to cardiac patients. Hundreds of lives are saved by diagnosing heart attack at early stage average 15 to 20 patients benefited per month.
10) At Aien ullah Eye Clinic pakki shah mardan eye surgeory facilities are providing by competent Eye Surgeon on minimum cost.
